Portland Port is located on the Isle of Portland, a tied island connected to the mainland by the Chesil Beach causeway. It's an excellent starting point for exploring the Jurassic Coast — Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are less than 30 minutes away by minibus, and Corfe Castle is within easy reach.
When you book a Portland cruise excursion with us, here's what to expect:
Meet at the port
Your guide meets you at the port exit with a name board.

Tour start and end times match your ship's schedule.

Back on time
We return at least 1 hour before departure.
Meeting Your Guide at Portland Port
We meet all passengers at the port where you disembark from your cruise ship. Please look out for a member of our team wearing one of our company shirts, clearly displaying our name. They will also be holding a white board with all guests' names on it, making us easy to identify. You don't need to arrange any transport to a separate meeting point — we come to you.
Tour Duration & Return to Your Ship
All excursion schedules are coordinated with your ship's arrival and departure times. Your exact tour start time will be confirmed by email and text approximately two weeks before your excursion date. We carefully monitor all bookings and will not depart without accounting for our guests.
We schedule all excursions to arrive back at the port at least one hour before your ship's planned departure time. Should your available time ashore be shortened for any reason, we may modify the itinerary to guarantee a timely and worry-free return to the ship.
What Happens If Your Ship Cannot Dock
We highly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance before your trip. Should unforeseen circumstances arise, such as your ship being unable to dock, we will refund 50% of the amount paid for your excursion. This policy is designed to help reduce the impact of unexpected disruptions while allowing us to recover a portion of the costs incurred in planning and preparing your tour.
